This will probably be my last upload for a while, unless I dig into my old portable HD and go back to archives, I''m physically unable to take photos at the time . . . maybe not again. We'll see.

Thanks for Viewing,

On Saturday I took Marnie to Plantsbrook Local Nature Reserve. There wasn't a human in sight. Just one man in the small car park tossing food for the squirrels. Heaven ! Marnie was so patient with me, leading the way. I'm still slow, but getting physically more capable all the time.

With woodlands, wetlands and wildflower meadows, Plantsbrook Local Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife and notable for its expanses of open water.

I hope you like this, my Flickr friends. Thank you so much for every view, fave and comment.

Have a lovely Christmas, no matter what your religious faith, or perhaps no faith at all. 😃

Wukoki Ruins Complex, Wupatki National Monument, AZ

Wiki states: a trading area, abandoned @ 1225AD.......Wupatki appears empty and abandoned, but it is remembered and cared for. Although it is no longer physically occupied, Hopi believe the people who lived and died here remain as spiritual guardians. Stories of Wupatki are passed on among Hopi, Navajo, Zuni, and other Native American tribes in the region. Members of the Hopi Bear, Katsina, Lizard, Rattlesnake, Sand, Snow, and Water Clans return periodically to enrich their personal understanding of their clan history.....

You´d better be physically fit, its rough walking.

Not advisable to walk on rainy days, it may become treacherous, and quite dangerous, too.

We thoroughly checked it before we went.

Info for whose who wish to make an attempt!

Delores using the 350 bucks foot spa i bought my son, as a bed . All the time. He has to physically pry her out of it XD

Nobody seems to get hurt physically in these skirmishes. I hope, similarly, that no emotional damage is done.

I know that I am pushing the importance of children and family. Let me explain, families do not agree about everything, and that is natural. The big thing is that no decision any family member makes should interfere with the family relationship, sometimes we have to agree to disagree and other times we have to compromise. Love takes us a long way in this consideration and please keep the love going in your families!

We must protect families, we must protect children, who have inalienable rights and should be loved, should be taken care of physically and mentally, and should not be brought into the world only to suffer.

Indira Ghandi

There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.

Nelson Mandella

If we nurture the dreams of children, the world will be blessed. If we destroy them, the world is doomed!

Wes Stafford

Pretty much all the honest truth-telling there is in the world is done by children.

Oliver Wendell Holmes

Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.

John F. Kennedy

We lose eight children and teenagers to gun violence every day. If a mysterious virus suddenly started killing eight of our children every day, America would mobilize teams of doctors and public health officials. We would move heaven and earth until we found a way to protect our children. But not with gun violence.

Elizabeth Warren

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️

***I just want you to know, that today, I am posting and running, but will be back to look at your works and thoughts. Have a great day everyone!

Sometimes my photos require “Getting Close” to the subject physically. Lying on top of pile of leaves or wading in shallow waters. Remaining always safe there’s not much I haven’t tried yet to “Get That Shot, lol” From the top of the Empire State Building in NYC to a Native American Celebration in New Mexico and many cool places in between. Passion drives us to get our next fun capture. Thanks for viewing my work. Stay safe, mask up and go get your next great capture. 🙏

I came across these two cattails while on a winter stroll at the cottage on Boxing Day. It was good to go out and enjoy the scenery. I used my "L" series lens to give the image that much depth and make the cattails stand out. I tried to approach them however I stepped onto some thin ice and into ankle-high water.

The Pandemic has put a strain on all of us emotionally and physically, this time of year should not be forgotten, make sure that you find it in yourselves to enjoy this time and spread to those who ne vois pas la lumière au bout du tunnel.

This is part of my winter series called "White".

Victoria and Albert Museum:

Examples of the works of Art in the Museum – South Kensington Museum – Published in 2 Volumes in 1881 – Book 1 - Plate Nos: 43 - 48

Sometime ago I posted some of the illustrations from the above book and I hoped that would be able to find them physically in the museum and photograph them. I took the third set of 15 illustrations from this book and went on the V & A website; Search the Collections. My results were based upon the following criteria:

(1) Items I did locate and photograph.

(2) Items that were in storage

(3) Items I couldn’t find anywhere

So I will be posting them, along with their locations in the museum, against the original plate and photograph from storage (where possible). The original price and any further information I might find.

One thing I didn’t count on, was that renovations would alter the interior of the building so drastically. I have found it very difficult to pin some of these locations down but in the main they have been found.

When we understand the importance of living together without judgement we will have arrived at a significantly better place than we are today. It is easy to be judgmental, but what purpose does it have? If we live together in peace and allow one another to live the way we wish as long as it does not physically harm anyone, that is what we should be aiming for. Compassion, love, tolerance, understanding, acceptance, respect, equality, diversity and decency will take you a long way. Steer your children away from hate, greed, selfishness and power, this type of behavior only causes pain and sadness to so many, so let's embrace our differences. This should happen globally with all nationalities being involved. So let's get started now!

With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating, stay safe and laugh often! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you all so much for the wonderful feedback to my last posts my friends, especially for the lovely wishes, coming after a period in which by being physically sick I also felt very sad and lonely reading your wonderful wishes really cheered me up so I am deeply grateful for that. I also wanted to let you know that although a very painful experience it was nothing very serious or life-threatening and anyway the worst has passed I am recovering now but I still feel very tired so even when I am around I do not have the energy to be very interactive, hope I will soon. Until then thank you all so much for the fantastic support and wish you a wonderful spring full of flowers and laughter and sun but most of all health as is the most important thing!

Much peace &love to you my friends!

Let Me Kiss You ❣

youtu.be/OmPw3SPgWrw

There's a place in the sun for anyone

Who has the will

Chase one and I think I found mine

Yes I do believe I have found mine.

So, close your eyes

And think of someone you physically admire

And let me kiss you, oh.

Let me kiss you, oh.

I zigzagged all over America

And I cannot find

A safety haven

Say, would you let me cry on your shoulder

I've heard that you'd try anything twice

Close your eyes

And think of someone you physically admire

And let me kiss you, oh.

Let me kiss you, oh.

But then you open your eyes

And you see someone that you physically despise

But my heart is open

My heart is open to you...

A lack of any feeling about self or other, a mind-state that gives rise to boredom, rancor, apathy, and a passive, inert, or sluggish behaviour. Physically, acedia is fundamentally with a cessation of motion and an indifference to work; it finds expression in laziness, idleness, and indolence.

In „Interaction of Color“ schreibt Josef Albers: „In visual perception a color is almost never seen as it really is – as it physically is. This fact makes color the most relative medium in art.“

Jahrhunderts. Er ist bekannt für seine umfassende Werkserie Homage to the Square (1950–1976). Albers lehrte am Bauhaus, am Black Mountain College und an der Yale University.

J. A. was a German-born artist and educator. The first living artist to be given a solo shows at MoMA and at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, he taught at the Bauhaus and Black Mountain College, headed Yale University's department of design, and is considered one of the most influential teachers of the visual arts in the twentieth century.

I will not shy away from admitting the last week has been hard. Hard physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I have felt worn out on all sides. It is easy to want to only show the picture perfect side of life that states we have everything together. Yet in our brokenness and hurt, there is beauty to be found! Tonight I sat and marveled with my wife at the beauty set before me. Storms were rapidly developing nearby which created some phenomenal sunset light and some very stunning storm formations which I will share later on. Our day was not perfect, but it was redeemed by a perfect Maker…Our Maker, Christ Jesus our Sovereign Lord!

physically apart, under the same sky, separated by oceans, sharing the sun, the moon and the stars, eternally connected, by an invisible string of love, our hearts yearn for more

you're the first and last thing on my mind, I carry you with me through my day, you're in my every thought, my every heartbeat, with every breath I take, I silently whisper your name

though my love for you fills every corner of my heart, I feel so incomplete without you, whatever I do I can't escape the feeling of missing the most important part of me – YOU, for every sec I miss you more and more

as my day passes the melancholia gets more and more overwhelming, they might say, distance means so little, when you love someone deep enough, but when the missing, the longing, tears your heart apart, no wise words can comfort you

I feel you, I see you ... whenever I close my eyes, I dream of you, next to me, I wish for you here or me there, but night after night I face the emptiness of the dark by my own

I want to fall asleep next to you, holding you, tasting sweet tenders kisses from your gentle lips, don't want to settle even with the sweetest dream, but in the end, it's all I've, so I close my eyes, wrap your arms around me, wish for that dream, without ever discovering, that you're missing from me

It’s a good thing I am not actually making these journeys physically. The distance from Cape Town, South Africa, to Iceland is roughly about 7,132 miles, with flights typically taking around 18 to 20 hours. This is a significant intercontinental journey, covering a large portion of the globe.

However, with one click on a keyboard, we are there!

We visited Iceland in the spring of 2011. We spent a cold, wet week but enjoyed our time in this extraordinary country . This was taken at the end of the trip in Iceland’s capital; it shows Iceland’s tallest building.

Hallgrímskirkja is a Lutheran church in Reykjavík, Iceland. At 73 metres (244 ft), it is the largest church in Iceland and the sixth tallest architectural structure in Iceland. The church is named after the Icelandic poet and clergyman Hallgrímur Pétursson (1614 to 1674), author of the Passion Hymns.

Guðjón Samúelsson's design of the church was commissioned in 1937. He is said to have designed it to resemble the basalt lava flows of Iceland's landscape. It took 38 years to build the church. Construction work began in 1945 and ended in 1986, the landmark tower being completed long before the church's actual completion. Situated in the centre of Reykjavík, it is one of the city's best-known landmarks and is visible throughout the city.

HIs expression is exactly how I feel about the strange times we are currently experiencing. I'm on week three of being sequestered at home like much of the rest of the nation. Riverview Hospital is a Canadian mental health facility located in Coquitlam, British Columbia. It operated under the governance of BC Mental Health & Addiction Services when it closed in July 2012.

In 1904 the provincial government purchased 1,000 acres (400 ha) in then-rural Coquitlam for the construction of Riverview Hospital.

Patients were originally housed in temporary buildings, and in 1913 the building that would eventually be called West Lawn began treating the 300 most seriously ill male patients. The building was originally constructed to hold 480 patients. By the end of the year it housed 919.

Shift. To move or change position, to adjust the phase relationship, to transform from one state or position into another.

Here the buildings seem to be physically shifting. Evolving into a new state or position, or changing their very forms from solid to less so, from one point of view ( PoV) to another ?

Recently ( 2012 ) there was a lot of talk about "The Great Shift", moving from one state of consciousness and world view into a newer and expanded one. For many this was associated with the end of the Mayan Calendar "Long Count".

In science that "shift" is definitely found in quantum physics, where to understand the view, one has to shift, from a mechanistic, matter is the sum totally of everything, view ( The Newtonian paradigm ) into a contrary and reversed position.

Shift. Things are on the move in so many ways. These are "shaky" times as virtually everything seems to be in Shift. Those that want to hold on to the status quo see Shift as DE-structive, while those that want to see change, see it as evolving transformation.

As he Walked the Halls of the Labryrinth Sanctum he was soon joined by one of his more faithful companions..A Three headed hound..A Cerberus he simply named Thrice. He was not as gigantic as the hounds that guarded realms..He was large mind you but a more stout hound ..The mage smiled and patted his heads one by one..then conjured a piece of meat..a hamhock..one of his favorite treats..A memory flashed as he fed each of Thrice's heads..How he found the beast..injured and then took him in..scared..vicious..he would lunge and lash at the mage..all trying not to harm or hurt the beast..when he found at one point ..the hound was obviously mistreated..abused..scared ..so with a desperate move The mage conjured a spell and created meat for him..offering the treat slowly..it snapped..and tried to fight if off each others heads..then the mage formed two more..for each maw..they ate and devoured..one after the other..until he could conjure no more..physically tired and his magic aura depleted..he knelt thinking it was going to be a fight..but then the beast came..and rested his heads one by one as a sign he trusted his new friend and soon to be master..the memory faded as he walked with him "You will meet the new apprentices..they will tend to you..and you will guard them..but do go easy..they cannot yet conjure your treats yet.."

Gracie is in the cardboard box on the bed in the front bedroom, and Millie is not happy about it. Taken by Edgar.

We have been having problems with Gracie and Millie because of aggressive behavior by both of them. We do not have photos of it, but Millie often stalks and chases Gracie or tries to keep her away from the water bowls. Despite what the photos show, Millie is more often the aggressor. We were off Flickr for a while because we wanted to find out if they were having any health problems. The vet says they are both physically healthy. For about a week, we have had a pheromone diffuser in their favorite room. The Pheromone diffuser is supposed to calm them.

Most animals don't physically express emotions using facial motions like humans, but I tend to assign emotions to animals anyways. Here, this Snowshoe hare looks to me like he is a bit grumpy.
